Dr. Kemale Musayeva

“Every reality begins with a dream.”

— From an interview, 2022

She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completed her specialty training in the faculty's Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a thesis on women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

In the years that followed she worked on active birth and water birth, wrote about exercise in pregnancy and ran prenatal education programmes. She trained in robotic surgery (IRCAD, Strasbourg), advanced laparoscopy (Birmingham) and urogynaecology.

From 2014 she turned to assisted reproduction and in 2017 trained in embryology at the American Hospital in Istanbul. Today she sees patients at her private practice in Nişantaşı.

06Approach

Science, experience and individual care.

  1. I

Science from the very first cell

Adding embryology to her obstetric training came from wanting to see reproduction as one continuum — from the first cell in the lab to the birth itself.

  2. II

    Lifestyle is part of care

She wrote her specialty thesis on polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition she has lived with herself. As a doctor and an athlete she gives nutrition, movement and stress management real weight in women's health.

  3. III

The right birth for mother and baby

Having worked on active birth and exercise in pregnancy, her aim is simple: whatever the mode of birth, a healthy baby in the mother's arms.

Frequently asked questions

Does sending the form book my appointment?

No. The form is a request; the practice will contact you to agree a date and time.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Previous test results, scan and surgery reports, a list of your medications and the date of your last period all help.

When should we seek fertility advice?

The usual guidance is after a year of trying under 35, or six months over 35 — sooner if there is a known issue.

Can I exercise during pregnancy?

For most healthy pregnancies, regular moderate exercise is recommended. We'll agree which activities suit you at your check-ups.

Is leaking urine just part of getting older?

It's common, but it isn't something you have to live with. There are many options, and the first step is talking about it.
